Day 1: 19 Aug. Arrive Jakarta
We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your overnight accommodation at the FM7 Hotel located near the airport. Tonight we will hold a tour briefing in the hotel.

Day 2: 20 Aug. Jakarta - Medan – Kutacane - Ketembe
An early morning departure flight to Medan in Sumatra and conenct wit our flight to Kutacane in Aceh. With some nice eweather we will get amazing views across the Leuser Eco System and the areas will be spending the next 2 weeks. Overnight at jungle lodge (B,L,D)

Day 3: 21 Aug. Ketambe Trekking. Jungle trek 2 days/1 night.
Wildlife experience, waterfalls, hot springs. After an early breakfast, we head off into the Park. This amazing ecosystem will provide us with viewings of orangutans, Thomas Leaf monkeys, gibbons, macaques, hornbills and more. We will start the trekking adventure into the jungle viewing wildlife all day as we trek. We will stop at a river along the way for a swim and may even find a hot water spa. We will then enjoy more viewings of wild orangutans, hopefully including that of a dominant male. Gibbons may also be spotted and most certainly heard. We will camp in tents overnight in the National Park - camping equipment including mattress is supplied. (B,L,D)

Day 4: 22 Aug. Ketambe - Leuser Ecosystem 
This morning we will wake to the amazing sounds of the jungle before trekking out of the jungle looking for wildlife along the way. After lunch we return to Ketambe lodge for overnight stay.

Day 5- 9: 23 - 27 Aug. Ketambe - Summit Gunung Kafi Climb

Day 1: Start from the  Ketemabe lodge to Meluak village at with transportation and arrive at Meluak village (starting point), around 7.30 am. Arrive and preapre all equipemtn with guides and porters for start trekking about 9.00 am to  to  camp 1 at camp Manuk (apporx 9 hour walk time include 1 one hour stop for lunch). Camp ovenright Camp 1.

Day 2: After breakfast at around start trekking from to camp Belanda and stop for lunch. Then countinue trekking to Camp 3 (Camp Teturunan) and stop for overnight. (Approx 8 hour trekking today) 

Day 3: After breakfast at 7am start trekking to the top of Mount Kafi (Approx 2,500 ASL). Here we will find a nice place to stop and enjoy lunch. Also we visit Uning (a place where the animals often go for drinking. Please note we provide masks as possible suplher gas will be around. (6 hour to 7 hour trekking) 

Day 4: After early breakfast at 06am we start back down the maountain directly to Camp 1 via Camp Belanda (Camp 2)  where we stop for lunch. Then continue walk to Camp Manuk and stop for the overnight) ( 7 hour to 8 hour trekking)  

Day 5: After breakfast at 6am return down to Meluak village with a lunch stop along the way. We expect to arrive at the village around 4pm and will stop for drink coffee, tea with the local guide team where we says thanks and farewell to our wonderful team (Apporx 7 hour treking. After finish here we travel back to Ketembe for dinner and overnight.

Day 10-11: 28-29 Aug . Ketambe FKL research station - reforestation and trekking - Ketembe
This morning we will wake to the amazing sounds of the jungle before trekking out of the jungle looking for wildlife along the way. We will then travel to meet Rudi and his program with FKL, where we will be introduced to their important work and take a short jungle trek looking for wildlife. Overnight at their research station jungle lodge. (B,L,D) Time spent with FKL. Programme to be finalsied. Final night back to 1000 Hills prepare for rafting next day.

Day 12-15: 30 Aug - 2 Sept Ketambe - Gelombang. 3 days / 2 nights rafting on the Alas Rver.
Today start 3 days rafting.

Day 1 : Start from Ketambe , FKL or  guesthouse after breakfast to Muaras Tulen  village ( as starting point  travel about two hour arrive in Muaras Tulen village  around 9.30 am . and start rafting around to camp 1 ( Muara Renun )and stop for night camping .

Day 2 : start after breakfast to Soraya ( research station and elephant areal). Stop for night camping.

Day 3 : Traking  5 to 6 hour traking, ingluded 1 hour stop for lunch in  Soraya areal and back to camp area , stop for night camping.

Day 4 : start after breakfast To Gelombang village and estimate arrived in Gelombang village around to Arrive Gelombang and transfer to Lake Toba for overnight overnight. Lake Toba is the site of the biggest eruption recorded in history and plays a significant role with the orangutans. Along the way, we will travel Subu Salam - Sidikalang – Tele –Pangururan. We will cross Lake Toba to the island of Samosir and arrive in Parapat at around noon where we will have a two night stay in a hotel - Toledo Inn or Tabo Cottages on Samosir Island right at the lake side. Day 16 – 3 Sept. - Lake Toba
Samosir - tour to Tomok, Ambarita and Simanindo. On this magnificent island, you can visit the typical Toba Batak villages: Tomok with its kings' tombs, Ambarita with its megalith execution tables and in Simanindo you can see traditional Batak dances. There is also the option of some kayaking on the lake. Overnight at Lake Toba (B,L,D)

Day 17 – 4 Sept: Lake Toba - Medan – Jakarta - Home.
An early morning departure will have us head to the airport for our flight back to Jakarta. Option to fly to Medan airport. Here you will connect with your evening return flight home or continue with your travel. Tour ends (B
